From our very beginnings, our mission has been to develop and market products required by our customers in various market arenas. Surrounded by a solid network of business partners, we now offer many wood products. ## *A legacy built on generations of expertise in the timber industry* ## OUR HISTORY ![Suzie1000x1000-1000x700](https://starrforest.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/Suzie1000x1000-1000x700.jpg?width=1000&height=700&name=Suzie1000x1000-1000x700.jpg "Suzie1000x1000-1000x700") ## 1997 In 1997, Suzanne Auclair, raised from childhood in an entrepreneurial environment, created “STARR Inc.” Société des Technologies Appliquées en Ressources Renouvelables. ## 1999 In 1999, Christian Perron joined up with Suzanne and they reinvented the solid wood panel; the MFC panel is made up of 100% solid wood veneered to yield an excellent added value product. ![Christian1000x1000-1000x700](https://starrforest.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/Christian1000x1000-1000x700.jpg?width=1000&height=700&name=Christian1000x1000-1000x700.jpg "Christian1000x1000-1000x700") ![Blockboard400x300](https://starrforest.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/Blockboard400x300.jpg?width=400&height=300&name=Blockboard400x300.jpg "Blockboard400x300") ## 2004 StarrForest comes on the scene and the founders make an agreement with a Finnish company to distribute their blockboard panel within Canada, a panel with the same characteristics as the STARR-MFC panel. In the pursuit of its activities, StarrForest also added the Russian birch veneer panel and other laminated wood products to its offerings. ## 2014 STARRFOREST reinvented the jointed and glue laminated wood (glulam) plank for use by the scaffolding industry. Then the company added the glue-laminated post, an innovative product imported from Europe. ![IMG_0190-1024x768](https://starrforest.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_0190-1024x768.jpg?width=1024&height=768&name=IMG_0190-1024x768.jpg "IMG_0190-1024x768") ![DSC8312-copie-copie-1-1024x850](https://starrforest.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/DSC8312-copie-copie-1-1024x850.jpg?width=1024&height=850&name=DSC8312-copie-copie-1-1024x850.jpg "DSC8312-copie-copie-1-1024x850") ## 2023 In 2023, following a successful 6-year partnership with Suzanne, Keven-Derick Auclair Savard, his son, took the reins as the exclusive owner of the company. ## 2025 Chantal Aubin joins STARRFOREST as Vice-President ![IMG_8668](https://starrforest.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_8668.jpg?width=961&height=1065&name=IMG_8668.jpg "IMG_8668") Our legacy is not just about the past; it is also about the future.
